In December, our dear friend and co-founder of the company and original Carpet Man store in Stroud, Bill Morton, will be leaving us for the wonderful life of retirement.
Not only is Bill a good friend, he was also never afraid to get his hands dirty. From cutting and measuring to making customised rugs, his dedication to his work has always been inspirational. He has unrivalled product knowledge and his 30 years of experience and industry knowledge have been invaluable to the team. Bill brightened up the store with his smile, enthusiasm and can do attitude.
He has taken time out of his schedule on multiple occasions to train up new members of the team, passing on practical knowledge as well as important life skills and the industry latest.
His colleagues presented him with a London City break to kick off his retirement with a bang and a well deserved trip away – they had to make sure he’d actually put his feet up for a few days before cracking on with his huge list of DIY jobs around the house!
The staff all wish him a very long and happy retirement with his wife Jackie.
