It’s completely water resistant
Unlike laminate flooring, which is mostly made up of wood byproducts, vinyl flooring is 100% plastic. This means it is completely waterproof and therefore perfect for bathrooms, utility rooms, and other areas around the home that are likely to become damp. It’s also non-slip, extremely durable, and very easy to clean, meaning it will last for years.
It looks and feels great
Today’s vinyl flooring looks remarkably realistic and many people would struggle to tell the difference between vinyl flooring and real wood or stone. This means you can have flooring in your bathroom that looks like the real deal without worrying about it warping or becoming stained when wet. Another key benefit of vinyl is that unlike marble or slate flooring, it doesn’t feel cold to the touch, making it easier (and much nicer) to walk on.
It offers great value for money
One of the best things about luxury vinyl tiles is that they’re really cost effective. While natural stone flooring such as granite, marble and limestone looks modern and luxurious, it can come with a hefty price tag. The same is also true of engineered wood flooring. While engineered wood has a plywood base to help protect against moisture, it can still be prone to water damage and is much more costly than vinyl.
